The TYPO3 Best Practices Team gathered for another Remote Day. This time Bernd Sengupta and Eike Starkmann joined the team members Oliver Klee and Daniel Siepmann. We focused on some long-standing issues with the Tea Example (tea) extension, as well as TYPO3 v13 compatibility.

About the Best Practices Team

The team currently provides the Tea Example (tea) extension, which serves as an example on how to write an Extbase extension following best practices. The main focus is on automated tooling for higher quality. This involves testing, static code analysis, CI and more. The long goal is to attract more people to join the team and also focus on other best practice areas.

Collaboration in Action

The remote day happened within the TYPO3 Slack channel of the team. We gathered for an initial kick-off huddle and jumped into the concrete open tasks. Some worked together, some worked by themselves

In the end, we finally fixed a long-standing issue that was breaking our GitLab CI Pipelines. They are now working again. We also updated our testing dependencies, which is a prerequisite for the TYPO3 v13 compatibility. Nine commits were merged in total.
