In a previous typo3.org news post, the TYPO3 Extension Award for best documentation was introduced. We would now like to inform you about the next steps. The winners of the award will receive prizes up to €1000.

A lot has happened since July. There’s easier onboarding for new users and Composer as standard, as well as a new upgrade guide and updates to the main documentation navigation.

This year, a special interest group was formed to update screenshots in the official TYPO3 documentation. Updating screenshots manually is tedious and boring. This article explains the really cool automatic solution we have devised, and we’re looking for people to help us make it even better.

The TYPO3 Documentation Team is continuously working on improving the TYPO3 documentation—keeping it up to date, finding new and better ways to document and—equally important—removing outdated information.

TYPO3 Initiative Week was introduced this year to bring together members of TYPO3 Initiatives to drive development forward. Core development is now organized into Strategic Initiatives where teams can focus on a targeted effort on one task. This week-long event provided a chance for everyone to connect across the initiatives.
