Our community has been around for more than 10 years. Started by Kasper Skårhøj who initiated the TYPO3 projects with a few handful of enthusiastic people it grew to the huge community as we know it today. In 2004 the TYPO3 Association was founded by core members of the TYPO3 community to provide funds for long-term development. Today we are blessed with a family of products and events almost every week.

The TYPO3 CMS team just came back from the Active Contributors Meeting ("ACME" for short). This is an annual and very important gathering of all actively involved developers of the TYPO3 CMS project.

Last week we, the TYPO3 Neos team and several contributors, met in Rosenheim for the first big code sprint in 2014. We worked on some major features like localization, access rights and prepared the release of TYPO3 Neos 1.1 Beta 1.
