In this episode, I speak with Mathias Bolt Lesniak, a TYPO3 Board Member and valued TYPO3 Guidebook contributor who also works at the Scandinavian agency, Pixelant. In this episode we speak about Mathias’s favorite TYPO3 features, TYPO3 as a force for democratization in the world, and the give-and-take of open source contribution that characterizes the TYPO3 community.

TYPO3 v11 LTS is out! Many enhancements, new features, and modern technologies under the hood make this version our best TYPO3 release yet. We have hardly neglected an area to lift this enterprise CMS to a new level. TYPO3 version 11 is for everyone and we can proudly claim that this release is built to stay. As a long-term support release (LTS), this version will be maintained by the community for at least three years.

In this episode, I speak with Larry Garfield, a long-time PHP developer who has joined the TYPO3 core development team in 2021. We talk about the history of PHP and open source, Larry’s “scorched Earth” campaign against PHP 4 (his words), and what it’s like to be embraced by the TYPO3 community as a newbie.

In this episode, I speak with Stefan Busemann. Stefan began TYPO3 in 2005, rapidly became a TYPO3 freelance developer, then a TYPO3 agency founder and owner around 2010. In that time, he has been a huge contributor to the project in many ways. He was a TYPO3 Association Board member for many years. Today, he is still Supervisory Board Member of TYPO3 GmbH and a member of the TYPO3.org website team.

The TYPO3 Core Team Codesprint held on 12–14 August, 2021 was a big success. Here is a wrap-up of what happened during this hackathon, and what we achieved.

9 September, 2021 is the 10th anniversary of the News Extension, created by Georg Ringer. This extension is probably the most popular third-party extension in the TYPO3 ecosystem.
