Extended Nomination Deadline: The deadline for nominations to the Business Control Committee (BCC) has been extended until 16 March 2025. This is due to the low number of nominations for this important governance body.
Elected positions in the TYPO3 Association have a tenure of two years. Each year, half of the positions are up for election. Positions are available, and you can nominate yourself. Nominations are open until Monday, 10 March 2025 (extended until 16 March 2025 for BCC). The online elections for Board and Business Control Committee (BCC) will take place in March 2025.

Nominating yourself for the TYPO3 Association’s Board or BCC can be a great opportunity. Depending on your goals and commitment to the TYPO3 ecosystem, here are some key reasons why you may want to consider it:

Board or BCC — What is the Difference?

Any member of the TYPO3 Association can nominate themselves.
What Skills Are Required?
If you’re considering a nomination for the Board or BCC, you’ll need a mix of these skills:

What Will My Tasks Be?

The BCC members all share the same tasks. They manage budgets, such as the quarterly idea budgets, as well as the application and contracting process. In addition, it monitors the TYPO3 Association's activities and finances to secure confidence and trust in both the processes and elected bodies of the TYPO3 Association.
How Much Time Is Expected?
Board members should expect to use at least four hours per week, on average. You will attend bi-weekly remote meetings and quarterly two-day in-person summits. You will also have to dedicate time to your personal responsibilities and ongoing projects.
As a BCC member, you will attend monthly meetings with the Board and bi-weekly BCC meetings. You will also need time to work on your responsibilities or projects.
Are Board and BCC Members Compensated?
- Board members receive a monthly compensation of €500
- BCC members receive a monthly compensation of €200.
Some Board and BCC members choose to not be compensated.
Food, travel, and accommodation expenses are covered in accordance with the Reimbursement Regulations.
How do I Nominate Myself?
Please use the official nomination form to submit your nomination. You must state which body of the TYPO3 Association you want to nominate yourself for.
Should You Go for It?
If you are passionate about TYPO3, have relevant experience, and want to make a real impact, running for a nomination is a great choice. It does require time and effort, but the rewards — both personal and professional — can be significant.
