Last Bug Day was very active, certainly boosted by the progress on the upcoming TYPO3 4.5.

On the 27th of December we will be releasing 4.5 Beta3. The translation work can begin if you haven 't started already.

typo3.org has seen several incarnations and some serious attempts for a relaunch. The last relaunch was stopped due to the fact that more than an optical brush-up was needed. This article gives you some insight in the history of typo3.org.

The next Bug Day is already there. It happens earlier because of Christmas. So give a present to TYPO3 and participate!

For some time already we have the Code Of Conduct on typo3.org. It is time to put some extra focus on it as our community is growing and getting more active by the day.

Jochen Rau and Sebastian Kurfürst intend to publish an English version of the book "Zukunftssichere TYPO3-Extensions mit Extbase und Fluid" (Future proof TYPO3-extensions with Extbase and Fluid) for free, using a "CreativeCommons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike" license.

At the wmdb office in Düsseldorf a team of TYPO3 developers worked together in a code sprint on the File Abstraction Layer (FAL) for four days.
