Politoscope is a German-language barcamp that connects online managers from government agencies, political NGOs, and academia. The event discusses current issues in political online communication.

TYPO3 is widely used in the public sector, especially in Germany. The German Federal Government's TYPO3-based Government Site Builder (GSB) and our general focus on digital sovereignty and digital infrastructure questions makes this event a good place to meet and discuss topics that affect both us and our users. Our CMS was also recognized as a Digital Public Good (DPG) by the Digital Public Goods Alliance. Inclusion in the registry is an official recognition of TYPO3’s  adherence to the United Nations’ sustainable development goals as well as our commitment to equitable innovation, unrestricted access, and anti-discrimination.

TYPO3 Association Board Member Jana Höffner will represent TYPO3 at the event.

The Global DPI Summit describes itself as “a premier convening of stakeholders in the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) ecosystem, bringing together representatives from across the globe. […] highlighting groundbreaking technologies, policy frameworks, and implementation models that are reshaping public infrastructure.”

TYPO3 has a lot to talk about, for example due to our recent project in Rwanda and our ongoing project bringing website standardization to Somalia, a collaboration that also includes GIZ and ITU. The event is a place to create new connections and partnerships, as well as promoting open source, our CMS in particular, and our overarching model for sustainable development and societal advancement.

Mathias Bolt Lesniak, TYPO3 Project Ambassador, and Daniel Homorodean, leader of the TYPO3 Expansion Committee, will attend on behalf of our project and the TYPO3 Association.

The Transform Africa Summit describes itself as Africa’s leading annual forum for collaboration on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s ongoing digital revolution. The event caters to global and regional leaders from government, business and international organizations.

The summit is organized by Smart Africa, an alliance formed around the Smart Africa Manifesto, a commitment to provide leadership in accelerating socio-economic development through ICT. The manifesto has been endorsed by all heads of state and governments in the African Union.

For TYPO3, this event is a great opportunity to strengthen existing collaboration with governments in Africa and create interest and engagement around the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee's work in the Global South. With knowledge transfer, using our democratic and not-for-profit open-source CMS as a basis, we can foster local sustainable and independent business. Our vehicle is projects with government websites and digital governance, as exemplified by our project for Open Source Standardization of Government Websites in Rwanda and recent project with the Government of Somalia.

TYPO3 will be present represented by TYPO3 Project Ambassador Mathias Bolt Lesniak and TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee Lead Daniel Homorodean.
