TYPO3 CMS
The TYPO3 CMS crew has been working hard on the major topics this week with a focus on performance, stability and adding the last bits of the puzzle with regards to file and package handling, enabling TYPO3 CMS to use Composer-based packages out-of-the-box. The possibility to install distributions as pre-packaged flavours of the core packages has been introduced with the latest beta, released two weeks ago.Themes
Last week we wrote about T3DUST and Themes. The '<link http: www.startnext.de en typo3-theme-packages>Theme Packages - Basis for TYPO3 CMS Design-Themes' fund raiser is running until March 6 and can still use your support. Read all about it on the page and consider your support.Release parties
If anything the release of the upcoming Long Term Support version needs to be celebrated. The TYPO3 CMS crew chose 'Here To stay' as the motto for the upcoming release and a <link http: wiki.typo3.org release_party typo3_6.2>WIKI page to find or add your favourite party has already received several entries. <link http: wiki.typo3.org release_party typo3_6.2>

Internet World
With a number of enthusiastic volunteers we were at the CMS Garden booth at Internet World in Munich this past Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a good opportunity to meet up with the Munich TYPO3 crowd. Many people were very interested in TYPO3 Neos. Thank you: Stefan Busemann, Patrick Lobacher, Sandra Hofmann and Guido Haase for representing TYPO3!TYPO3camp Italy

Meet Magento and CMS Africa
Strange as it may sound I will visit <link http: es.meet-magento.com>Meet Magento in Madrid on Tuesday and Wednesday. Many Magento shops use TYPO3 and it is a good opportunity to have a first connection in Spain. The Spanish language area is big and we do not have to much activity there yet. Besides that fact the Meet Magento events are organised by <link http: www.netresearch.de>Netresearch's Thomas Fleck, who sponsored a few TYPO3 conference video's. Together with Thomas I will be travelling to CMS Africa Summit. <link http: summit.cmsafrica.org>
