Yesterday night we finally upgraded TYPO3.org to version 3.8.0. Because we had to clear all caches, including the indexed_search cache, the pages were rendered quite slowly in the time following.
Kasper is currently fine-tuning the caching mechanism to fit the special needs of TYPO3.org. In the meantime you might still experience long loading times and the "Page is being generated" message might appear.
