The TYPO3 Project is proud to have reached a milestone in its development: The TYPO3 Bootstrap Package (frontend theme) is officially accessible after being tested by the German certification body BIK. The TYPO3 community, in close cooperation with CPS agency, helped achieve the international standard WCAG 2.1 and EN 301 549.

Under the headline “Warp Speed”, the TYPO3 Community has released a new Long Term Support (LTS) version of the TYPO3 Content Management System. The professional PHP-based web publishing platform will be supported for a full six years.

The TYPO3 Association announces a comprehensive beginners’ guide for web publishing with TYPO3 CMS. Published by New York City-based publishers Apress, the guidebook is intended to spearhead international adoption of the open-source, enterprise content management system.

To great fanfare, 17 prizes were announced at this year’s TYPO3 Awards ceremony in The Hague. German agency Zdreicom AG received the Website of the Year trophy for Mera-Petfood.com. Other categories—including Performance, Government, Education, and Enterprise—represented the CMS platform’s versatility and capability.
