CPS GmbH Strengthens its TYPO3 CMS Commitment with Platinum Membership in the TYPO3 Association

The TYPO3 Association welcomes digital sovereignty and accessibility advocate CPS GmbH as a Platinum member. The upgrade from a Gold-level membership is a reinforcement of the company’s long-standing commitment to the content management system and its open-source community

Baar, Switzerland, 5 October 2023

Based in Berlin, Germany, the full-service agency CPS is known for pioneering government projects and digital sovereignty. Their concept for a Digital Sovereignty Index has been successfully implemented, most recently in projects for the two German federal ministries of Health and the Environment. The index helps minimize reliance on individual technology providers and increases control over IT infrastructure, improving data and information security.

“TYPO3 is a future-oriented Content Management System that we are vigorously supporting as a new Platinum member. Our profound collaboration with TYPO3 and its dedicated community fortifies our stance for the upcoming years,” says Sebastian Kreideweiß, Prokurist of CPS GmbH.

The agency’s strengthened commitment to the TYPO3 Association underscores their enthusiasm for the TYPO3 project and exemplifies the mutual goal of delivering digital sovereignty and accessible communication solutions.

Fostering Digital Sovereignty and Accessibility

Earlier this year, CPS took the initiative to improve the accessibility of TYPO3 CMS, meticulously addressing and resolving issues in a June community code sprint. Thanks to this effort, TYPO3’s popular Bootstrap Package frontend theme (based on the Introduction Package) officially reached the WCAG 2.1 and EN 301 549 accessibility standards after conformity testing by the German certification body BIK.

“The upgraded membership cements our joint endeavor to create a future where technology supports more inclusive digital web offerings,” says Olivier Dobberkau, president of the TYPO3 Association.

A Symbiosis of Trust and Technological Advancement

“For us, TYPO3 is both an ecosystem of people who trust each other and a software for enabling digital sovereignty, solving demanding tasks, and creating accessible communication solutions. In order to meet this high standard together, we underscore our commitment as a close partner in Berlin for 20 years with our Platinum TYPO3 Association membership,” adds Sebastian Kreideweiß.
