This TYPO3 week ended in Pozna?, Poland from where this weekly summary comes to you. This week saw the release of the first beta of TYPO3 CMS 6.2 LTS, a final report on this year's Google Summer of Code, a marketing meeting and an interview with Tomasz Grzemski about TYPO3camp Poland.

This week we have 2 code sprints running. The first code sprint by the Editorial Team and a feature freeze code sprint in a series of code sprints targeting stabilisation and finishing TYPO3 CMS 6.2 LTS. Release manager, Ernesto Baschny, answers some questoins. We have a report on a unique community cooperation and news came in this week that the Bitnami package was completed.

This week saw the release of Alpha 3 of TYPO3 CMS, the huge Neos code sprint and some TYPO3 event announcements. Also included is an interview with Sebastian Kurfürst, release manager of Neos 1.0.

This week saw postponement of the Alpha 3 of TYPO3 CMS, GSoC pencils down, TYPO3 distributions, Neos news, TYPO3 girls and CMS garden goodness. As a bonus a small interview with DE-CIX’s Alexander Summa.

‘This Week in TYPO3’ was born out of the suggestions by community members for shorter and more timely updates. The monthly overviews were usually too much after the fact and it’s length not appealing to read. Of course we also live in times where we do not focus that long. I also sincerely hope that these timely updates will see contributions by the community and feedback by the community. Participation in getting this weekly update done is encouraged.
