The Phoenix Code Sprint in Copenhagen started in full force this Tuesday. Monday was used to prepare things for the sprint with 6 people who already arrived on Sunday.
In August FLOW3 1.1 was released - so now there is no excuse anymore not to use the latest and greatest version of the framework. Work on Phoenix proceeded as well, to lay a nice foundation for the September code sprint in Copenhagen.
The TYPO3 Community has been buzzing with activity the last few weeks, peaking the last 7 days. One reason for this rush in activity is the switch in the TYPO3 Core to support and use PHP 5.3 namespaces like FLOW3. This was an important reason the original release date for the first beta of TYPO3 6.0 was postponed about two weeks.
From September 3 until September 9 a code sprint will be held in Copenhagen to work on the first version of what we still call Phoenix. Phoenix is the next generation CMS built upon our newly developed PHP framework FLOW3.
Thursday August 9th, found the Internet pipes of Venlo Netherlands heating up as members of the TYPO3 Introduction Package team came together for a 4-day code sprint.
