Categories: Development Created by TYPO3 Server Admin Team
This is to inform you that operation of bugs.typo3.org will be discontinued in the future.
Any remaining users of <link http: bugs.typo3.org _blank>bugs.typo3.org  are now requested to move entries that need to be kept from the old tracker to the new system at <link http: forge.typo3.org _blank>forge.typo3.org.

Timeline

Please note the following timeline:
  • 19th October 2012: Announce deprecation using a banner on the <link http: bugs.typo3.org _blank>bugs.typo3.org website.
  • 1st December 2012: Creation of new issues will be disabled. Existing issues can still be updated.
We will add a note on all tickets that inform about the discontinued support and link to the proper page on <link http: forge.typo3.org _blank>forge.typo3.org (in case a project exists there).
  • 1st January 2014 (planned): <link http: bugs.typo3.org _blank>bugs.typo3.org will be completely shut down

Background information

A long time ago <link http: forge.typo3.org _blank>forge.typo3.org (based on <link http: www.redmine.org _blank>Redmine) was introduced as a replacement for the bug tracker at <link http: bugs.typo3.org _blank>bugs.typo3.org (based on <link http: mantisbt.org _blank>Mantis). The main advantage of Redmine is that it is not just an issue tracker, but also allows per-project repositories, wikis, etc.
TYPO3 CMS and most active projects/extensions have already moved to the forge platform about one-and-a-half years ago. As the server team wants to keep the burden of maintanance as low as possible and because two issue trackers for one community is one too much, we have decided to phase out the support of <link http: bugs.typo3.org _blank>bugs.typo3.org. An automatic migration of all open issues is unfortunately not possible.
