We are excited that Google Summer of Code is underway again this year. After having had a successful first Google Summer of Code last year</link>, we are happy to also apply for GSoC 2010.
We're looking for help to make this years Summer of Code even better than last year and are asking you to think about how things could improve.
There are ideas left from the last years that students could work on but we are looking for your help with new ideas that need to be tackled. If you can think of any area where TYPO3 can improve (and I'm pretty sure you can think of some), please submit project ideas using the form we provided for that on our Summer of Code pages. We are looking for any kind of idea, but would like to ask to take into account that the task should be managable within a three month time frame. Especially interesting to us are ideas coming from Google Summer of Code 2010 FAQ.
Also, if you are thinking of becoming a mentor or helping out with organizational stuff, spreading the word about Google Summer of Code, helping students to find their way into TYPO3, or anything else, please contact me so I can take care of those things.
The next dates in the Google Summer of Code timeline are the project application phase starting Monday March 8th and lasting until Friday March 12th. Accepted projects will be announced by Google on March 18th.
