Interest in TYPO3 is growing, and the coming years will be marked by strategic initiatives from both the TYPO3 Association and the TYPO3 GmbH. As many know, this puts new demands on our organization. After careful consideration, the TYPO3 Association board has asked Mathias Bolt Lesniak to take on a full-time role to address some of the most pressing tasks.
As a natural consequence of the new role, he will not take reelection to the TYPO3 Association board. He has been asked to remain on the board until the General Assembly in April, recusing himself whenever there are potential conflicts of interest.
Enabling New and Continued Activities
During his tenure on the board, Mathias Bolt Lesniak has grown and improved the TYPO3 Association’s communication and public relations, both within our community and outside. Over time, his engagement has increased, involving both free time and donations by his employers.
In his new role, Mathias will continue many activities more consistently and sustainably.
As he points out, TYPO3’s successes result from many people’s tireless efforts. His role will, therefore, not only be as a visible representative of our project but also as an enabler of others. Community and contribution are central to our success, and they deserve to be better supported.
Three Focus Areas
Many things must be done, and a single person cannot do everything. As project ambassador, Mathias will focus on directions from the TYPO3 Association, with input from the TYPO3 GmbH. Together, we would like to see his work in these areas:
- Communication and communication administration
- Outreach, project representation, and growth support
- Community coordination, onboarding, and enablement
His work will be reviewed regularly, with openness to your feedback and suggestions in the TYPO3 Community.
Funding for the role is sourced from the TYPO3 Association (75%) and TYPO3 GmbH (25%).
