What is your idea about?
MEET TYPO3 Vienna aims to show the benefits of TYPO3 to a non-developer target group, consisting of marketing & content managers as well as business executives. In "meeting" the CMS directly on site via talks, case studies and members of the TYPO3 Core, the participants realize that TYPO3 is not only an important matter for IT managers, but also a powerful online marketing tool, providing heaps of benefits to optimize marketing and business goals.
Current situation is: The "customers" of TYPO3 are mainly editors / marketing managers who are not a part of the TYPO3 Community yet. With MEET TYPO3 Vienna, we want to reach them and make them active members of the Community as well. Thus they can actively give valuable feedback on new TYPO3 products and features.
What is the potential impact of your idea?
With bringing TYPO3 closer to a target group that certainly knows about the CMS, but not (yet) about its full potential for marketing and business goals, MEET TYPO3 Vienna helps making TYPO3 more tangible. Participants benefit from knowhow transfer and networking on site, resulting in a deeper understanding for and connection with the CMS.
Benefits for TYPO3 Community: Product TYPO3 will be spread more widely; more valuable feedback from users to make the product TYPO3 constantly better; opening of TYPO3 Community for fresh input & ideas.
