With some delay here's now the activity report of what happened in the v5 world in July. We are so busy and absorbed by the current development that we have become a bit silent. But playing with our new baby, the persistence framework, is just far more exciting than writing reports ;-)
In our ongoing effort to centralize development resources, we have made another big step forward: typo3xdev, the collaborative extension development SVN, has moved to forge.typo3.org!
Our personal summer of code started with what you could call the heart of TYPO3: Persistence. But even apart from this central theme many more topics have been addressed last month; among them speed, security and the new package repository.
Sponsored projects offer a new way for companies to support the development of TYPO3 v4 by donating money and pushing their own ideas. It also provides the developers with more opportunities for taking part in the development of the Core.
