With this report we want to inform you about the achievements of the TYPO3 server team in 2017.

From 18th to 20th of January our team met in Frankfurt at the DKD office. For some of the participants, the urban life of Frankfurt was an adventure in itself. This was the first sprint in 2018 and the eight sprint for the typo3.org relaunch project. The countdown for launch has now started. The sprint was well-attended. Especially welcome was the four-person front-end development and testing team from Ukraine.

Font Awesome is a go-to font toolkit used by thousands of websites worldwide. The TYPO3 Association made the strategic decision to fund the Font Awesome 5 crowdfunding campaign. This ensures that the TYPO3 logo is included in the latest release of the popular icon font.

At the 17th of November we had our regular team leader meeting.

From 12th to 14th of October our team met in Stuttgart at cronIT office. We set our team three main goals.

At the 19th of October we had our regular team leader meeting.

Contrary to some reports, the Frontend Editor is alive and well. However, we failed at communicating the story, and as a result misunderstandings have arisen. We would like to apologise for this, and hope this article will set things right.

About 275 TYPO3 community members joined the 12th TYPO3 Developer Days in 2017. They came from all over Europe to the beautiful city Malmö in Sweden. Over twenty percent visited the Developer Days for the first time.

Our team was very productive this year, we have been working hard at the long-awaited relaunch of typo3.org website. In Karlsruhe we had a small 2 day preparation sprint and a large 3 day implementation sprint.
