After a four-year break, this year’s TYPO3 Conference was an extra special event. “The vibe is back,” announced TYPO3’s Ric van Westhreenen on social media. “TYPO3 is still on fire!”

From 221 submissions, 65 projects have been nominated for the 2023 TYPO3 Award. Of the 13 category winners, one will receive the coveted TYPO3 Website of the Year title. New this year, the prizes are exclusive commemorative NFTs.

Open source software development is a global, borderless activity. But public policies are developed locally. The Open Source Initiative (OSI) has launched the Open Policy Alliance to educate and inform US Public Policy decisions. TYPO3 has joined the program to show support for this effort.

Universities and scientific institutions will finally meet on-site again. The 8th TYPO3 University Days will take place 19–20 September 2023 on the campus of h_da University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany.

Transform Africa Summit (TAS) is the continent's flagship conference on strategic digital transformation. The event took place in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, in April 2023. TYPO3 was also there, along with heads of state, government ministers, directors of national agencies and many more relevant stakeholders.

The 9th e-Governance Conference, held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 30–31 May, 2023 was a landmark event for global digital governance. TYPO3 had a prominent place as a leading content management system (CMS) in the context of digital sovereignty. We emphasized TYPO3’s ability to empower governments and organizations to maintain control over their digital infrastructures.
