Today the TYPO3 community released the first release candidate of TYPO3 4.6, in sync with our roadmap.
Today the TYPO3 community released the first release candidate of TYPO3 4.6. A release candidate should be as stable as we want the final release to be. The final version TYPO3 4.6.0 will be released on October 25th, 2011.

Downloads
We also have an introduction package for rc1, which allows testing the new features right away on a fresh installation. Experienced users can of course opt to upgrade an existing installation to the new 4.6.0rc1 version, but keeping in mind that minor fixes will still happen until the final release.
