Transform Africa Summit (TAS)

The Transform Africa Summit describes itself as Africa’s leading annual forum for collaboration on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s ongoing digital revolution. The event caters to global and regional leaders from government, business and international organizations.

The summit is organized by Smart Africa, an alliance formed around the Smart Africa Manifesto, a commitment to provide leadership in accelerating socio-economic development through ICT. The manifesto has been endorsed by all heads of state and governments in the African Union.

For TYPO3, this event is a great opportunity to promote our CMS and create interest and engagement around our four-pillar model for using a democratic and not-for-profit open-source project to foster sustainable and independent business as outlined in the TYPO3 Association’s report on Open Source Standardization of Government Websites in Rwanda.

The results of the project in Rwanda, as a locally-led digital infrastructure development collaboration project, will be presented on-stage during the event and in further detail during a session at the booth of project partner GIZ.

TYPO3 will be present with our own booth. Daniel Homorodean from the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee and Mathias Bolt Lesniak from the TYPO3 Association Board will participate in the event.
