The EU Open Source Policy Summit calls itself “the world’s largest assembly of policymakers, Open Source businesses, community members, developers, foundations, and experts engaged in diverse digital policy matters”. Even though it takes place in, Brussels, Belgium — in many ways the center of European politics — the conference attracts international representation and is marketed as “the only global conference of its kind”.
OpenForum Europe (OFE) is the event organizer. Founded in 2002, OFE is a Brussels-based not-for-profit, independent think tank, the organization works to “explain the merits of openness in computing to policy makers and communities across Europe”. It works with the European Commission, the European Parliament, and national and local governments.
TYPO3 is joining this event as a bronze sponsor. Open source policy is increasingly important for our free and open-source (FOSS) CMS. TYPO3 Project Ambassador Mathias Bolt Lesniak will be present at the event.
Event participation is free and can be attended online. You can choose to request a spot at the onsite event during registration.
This non-TYPO3 event is an opportunity to meet one of our active community members. Check the You Can Meet section below to see who.
