Here's a short report to give you an idea of the activity that happened on that day:
- 133 messages were posted to the core mailing list on that day by nearly 30 different people (not counting a very lively IRC channel)
- 12 people officially registered themselves on the Bug Day wiki page, but far more actually participated. Anyway here's the list of participants as registered in the wiki (if you don't appear here, remember to register yourself next time):
- Ernesto Baschny
- Steffen Gebert
- Oliver Hader
- Steffen Kamper
- Oliver Klee
- Christian Kuhn
- Benni Mack
- Søren Malling
- Susanne Moog
- Felix Oertel
- Georg Ringer
- François Suter
- Note that there are 6 Core Team members in this list, plus Tobias Liebig and Xavier Perseguers who managed to participate a bit too. Dmitry Dulepov was also active with indexed search related patches. It is a very good news that so many Core Team members could take part, because patches can't get committed without us and we are well aware that we sometimes represent a bottleneck. This was definitely not the case on this occasion.
- 50 bugs were touched upon during the day (discussed, improved, resolved, etc.)
- according to the bug tracker 33 bugs were closed or resolved against 8 opened over Friday and Saturday (couldn't have the statistics for just Friday), which means a net reduction of 25 bugs.
Let's hope that we will be even more numerous next time.
PS: Sorry for this news item's title, I just couldn't resist :-)
