June 25, 2010 Bug Day Report

Kudos to the few adventurers who braved the torpor and fought the bugs!

This time around the conjunction was definitely not a positive one: the release of TYPO3 4.4 had certainly left quite a few developers wanting to lay back a bit, while the upcoming Developer Days also put some pressure on those going to participate. There are certainly a number of other reasons explaining the low turnout on the latest Bug Day. Many thanks to those who made the effort to participate.

Two companies offerd meeting places:

  • wmdb, in Düsseldorf, Germany
  • e-netconsulting KG in Hamburg, Germany

Thanks for their enduring support.

And here are the heroes of the day (according to the wiki):

  • Andreas Grunwald
  • Oliver Hermanni
  • Gregor Hermens
  • Christian Kuhn (Core)
  • Peter Kühn
  • Andreas Lappe
  • Stephan Lucas
  • Kjeld Schumacher
  • Jigal van Hemert

About 20 bugs were resolved this time, with a differential of +2 bugs. The near absence of Core Team members was of course a negative factor. I can only speak for myself, but the upcoming Core Team meeting followed by the Developer Days is pretty demanding, so I really couldn't make it this time. I'm sure we will catch up during the Developer Days.

The next Bug Day is planned for July 30, 2010. Let's see what action happens despite the holidays!
