On 1 November 2024, we launched the community budget process for Q1/2025. The TYPO3 Association members were asked to vote on their favorites. As a result of 154 votes, the TYPO3 Association has granted budgets totalling €35,000 to four ideas.

Summary of the Four Selected Ideas
- Funding for Interactive guide/tour to TYPO3 backend by Marcin Sągol will have a significant impact on new TYPO3 users. (€10,000)
- Semantic Suggestion 2.0: Enhanced Internal Linking Visualization for TYPO3 v13 by Cyril Wolfangel will give editors powerful visual tools to understand and optimize their content structure. (€7,500)
- One Click TYPO3 Playground (in browser demo / local installation) by Łukasz Uznański will provide a public demo for new users to try TYPO3 without any local install. (€10,000)
- Incorporate xhprof/xhgui profiling directly into DDEV by Randy Fay will make use of XHprof easier, and present the results with xhgui, without having to do any configuration. The entire DDEV community benefits from this as well. (€7,500)
The winners will now start to work on their projects. They will be supported by the Business Control Committee (BCC). The people responsible for each idea project will report about their progress at typo3.org. If they succeed, they will be paid their allotted budget.
From the BCC’s point of view, all ideas would have been worth funding. Having a look at the voting results, we do see favorites, but the results in the main field are very close and a few more votes could have changed the overall results.
The results of the previous budgets have already been published at typo3.org. In the following weeks results of all selected budgets will be published.
