Dear community members,

during this year's T3CON a couple of core team members have got together and brainstormed on how processes in the community could be optimized. The idea was born to open up the core development mailinglist to all community members willing to join. This essentially means that participating just got more easy and chances that the patch you wrote eventually ends up in the core have just increased.

Of course we still have a tight review process to ensure the high code quality we have established over the years, so contributions must follow strict guidelines defined in the <link http: typo3.org teams core core-mailinglist-rules>Core-Development Mailinglist Rules.

If you are willing to work on core development, sign up now, review and vote for the patches on the list as well as sending your own ones! You will find the details on how to access the list on the mailinglist rules page.

We hope you'll enjoy the new possibilities of participating and wish for a lot of input.
