Business Control Committee looking for members

Categories: Association Created by Mario Rimann
At the extraordinary General Assembly of the TYPO3 Association in 2010 we decided to change our bylaws in several sections. One brand new chapter has been added: We need a Business Control Committee (BCC). This new committe is now about to be initialized.
The BCC is planned to be staffed with 4 persons (plus one spare member) and will basically have an eye on whatever the Association does. The main focus will be to control the flow of money and to verify that the budgets are spent correctly.

Since the BCC is brand new, the members of the BCC can influence the workflows and how they organize their work. The first steps to take will be to organize the basics and then start the auditing process of the financial transactions and budgets. As stated in the bylaws, the BCC will report quarterly towards the Steering Committe and the Board and present their report towards the members during the annual General Assembly.

Now we need you!
Please nominate yourself if you want to be part of this new committe. The following limitations apply: You must be an Association member (either as person or your company), just one person per company can be elected, you are neither member of the Board or the Steering Committee. (see the bylaws at association.typo3.org/about/)

Please nominate yourself by filling in the "Nominee application form" on the association website: association.typo3.org/index.php

Deadline for your nomination is Friday, 11th of February 2011 so we can present the list of nominees during the General Assembly 2011 in Basel.

All Association members will get the chance to vote online for the BCC after the General Assembly.
