TYPO3-EXT-SA-2017-016: SQL Injection in extension "Download Center" (pits_downloadcenter)

It has been discovered that the extension "Download Center" (pits_downloadcenter) is susceptible to SQL Injection.

Release Date: December 18, 2017

Component Type: Third party extension. This extension is not a part of the TYPO3 default installation.

Affected Versions: version 1.0.3 and below

Vulnerability Type: SQL Injection

Severity: Critical

Problem Description: The extension fails to properly sanitize user input and is susceptible to SQL Injection.

Solution: An updated version 1.0.4 is available from the TYPO3 Extension Manager and at https://typo3.org/extensions/repository/download/pits_downloadcenter/1.0.4/zip/. Users of the extension are advised to update the extension as soon as possible.
