TYPO3 version 13.3 is out! As the last sprint release of the v13 series, this version marks the feature freeze state before the TYPO3 v13 LTS release in October. Read on to learn more about our Content Blocks integration strategy and further features that made it into the TYPO3 Core as planned.

Some of you in the TYPO3 community may have already noticed increased activity around TYPO3’s templating engine, Fluid, in recent months. The Fluid maintainer team has been busy delivering the new major version 4 in time for the feature freeze with TYPO3 13.3. And we made it!

The version 12.4.20 of the TYPO3 Enterprise Content Management System has just been released.

When we first planned the TYPO3 ACL (Access Control List) improvements back in 2023, we split them into four parts. The first part was delivered in Q1/2024. It provided documentation with best practices on how to set ACLs in TYPO3 and a command to automatically generate default backend user groups with required permissions already set.

With the 3rd year cycle of TYPO3 v9.5 ELTS coming to an end at the end of September 2024, the time has come to announce a significant change in our Extended Long Term Support (ELTS) service offering. Starting with v9.5 ELTS, TYPO3 Solution and Technology Partners will have access to an exclusive fourth year of ELTS. This permanent change will come into effect for all future TYPO3 ELTS versions.

We have come a long way and there is still a lot to do. Content Blocks are on their way to being integrated with TYPO3 v13 and mark a significant milestone on the development journey and the future handling of building and creating new content elements.
