The TYPO3 Association (T3A) communicates the results of the 2017 elections for the Expert Advisory Board (EAB) and Business Control Committee (BCC).

TYPO3 CMS version 8 LTS is now available. The release features major speed improvements and easier workflows for everyday tasks. The TYPO3 CMS core team will support this Long-Term Support version for three years. Built on PHP version 7, the CMS version delivers a great increase in speed compared to previous versions. PHP 7 is on average twice as fast as PHP 5.6.

Today, the TYPO3 community released the latest Long Term Support version of the enterprise content management system TYPO3.

The international TYPO3Camp Venlo was not just two days of sharing knowledge and touching on the latest technological advancements in the TYPO3 community. According to Mathias Schreiber 11, 12 and 13th of March were days meant to bring people together who share the same passion, TYPO3. A very worthwhile cause.

Frontend Editing a.k.a Backend-less work for editors has been a long awaited feature for TYPO3, and after Pixelant’s successful crowdfunding campaign last year, people are eager to start working with this feature.

The TYPO3 Association introduces a special membership type for universities and research institutions. Many academic institutions worldwide are already using the Content Management System (CMS) TYPO3. In Germany alone, approximately 460 public and private university websites are based on the CMS.

A special membership type for universities, research institutions and colleges has been introduced by the TYPO3 Association. “We would like to play our part in furthering the development of TYPO3,” says Daniel Fehrle, leader of the TYPO3 Academic Committee.

The TYPO3 Community announces the versions 7.6.16 LTS and 8.6.1 of the TYPO3 Enterprise Content Management System.

Official positions in the TYPO3 Association have a tenure of office of 2 years. Each year half of the positions are newly elected. In 2017 the following positions are up for election:
