Today, the TYPO3 community released the latest Long Term Support version of the enterprise content management system TYPO3.

The international TYPO3Camp Venlo was not just two days of sharing knowledge and touching on the latest technological advancements in the TYPO3 community. Frontend Editing a.k.a Backend-less work for editors has been a long awaited feature for TYPO3, and after Pixelant’s successful crowdfunding campaign last year, people are eager to start working with this feature.

The TYPO3 Association introduces a special membership type for universities and research institutions. Many academic institutions worldwide are already using the Content Management System (CMS) TYPO3. In Germany alone, approximately 460 public and private university websites are based on the CMS.

A special membership type for universities, research institutions and colleges has been introduced by the TYPO3 Association. “We would like to play our part in furthering the development of TYPO3,” says Daniel Fehrle, leader of the TYPO3 Academic Committee.

The TYPO3 Community announces the versions 7.6.16 LTS and 8.6.1 of the TYPO3 Enterprise Content Management System.
