The next major version of TYPO3 CMS will be called 7 and will have PHP version 5.5 as its minimum PHP version. We consider this step vitally important to our new release strategy for several reasons.

The TYPO3 CMS versions 6.1 and 4.7 have reached their end of life in October 2014. Their latest versions are 4.7.20 and 6.1.12 which were released two weeks ago mark the last ones in these branches.

Over the last years TYPO3 CMS has gone through a lot of drastic changes. These changes were necessary to build a solid foundation for the future development and to pave the way for the next generation of TYPO3 CMS.

The TYPO3 Community announces the versions 4.5.37 LTS, 4.7.20, 6.1.12 and 6.2.6 LTS of the TYPO3 Enterprise Content Management System.

Between 27th of september and 5th of october nearly 30 people met in Denmark at an amazing castle to work on TYPO3 Neos. Participants from the United States, Cambodia, Russia and all over Europe worked on several parts of the content management system with the major goals to improve the user experience, add additional features and fix bugs.

The TYPO3 CMS Active Contributors met for the third time in Munich from September 8 - 10. The meeting took place right after the famous TYPO3 Camp Munich. The last ACME took place in Nuremberg in April 2014.
