Do you remember the TYPO3 Awards on the Snowboard Tour 2004 in Kitzbühel? They were great fun, and showed off quite a lot of interesting projects - as well as a popstar! Reason enough, thought Mikael Conley from Wildside.dk, to do the same thing on this year's Snowboard Tour again.

We are happy to announce this years edition of the TYPO3 Developer Days. The third edition of this international TYPO3 community event, also known as T3DD, will take place from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th May, 2008. The location for the event will be the Nordakademie Elmshorn, near Hamburg in Germany.

As maintenance of support.typo3.org slackened and the Jive software that provided the connection to the mailinglists could not be used anymore, another solution had to be found. The need for support.typo3.org is there because users are not familiar with the use of mailinglists or prefer forum style communications. From the start of the mailinglists there have been questions now and again whether or not TYPO3 should not have a forum.

The TYPO3 online style guide has been updated (a little while ago) with guidelines regarding the subbrand system, the use of photography, basic layout rules and extended logo use.

For the 9th time <link http: t3n.yeebase.com>T3N Magazine for Open Source and Web updated their article database. Six stories from the current issue (No. 9) have recently been translated for your free reading pleasure.

During this year's T3CON a couple of core team members have got together and brainstormed on how processes in the community could be optimized. The idea was born to open up the core development mailinglist to all community members willing to join.

The Department of Computer Science of the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg is again organising the Froscon conference. FrOSCon is a two day conference on Free Software and Open Source, taking place for the second time on August, 25th/26th(this weekend!) at the Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg in Sankt Augustin near the cities of Bonn and Cologne. TYPO3 will be presented at this conference amongst other projects.
