Meet TYPO3 at
Connected Africa Summit

Kwale (Diani), Kenya

Connected Africa Summit is a continental summit organized around the overall objective of “Creating business opportunities for growth”. The organizers describe it as an event that will “nurture innovative ideas and partnerships that leverage technology to advance the achievement of Africa’s development agenda 2063.” Further, the event “will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators and investors to chart actionable pathways for leveraging technology to address the continent›s challenges and unlock transformative opportunities.”

For TYPO3, this event is a great opportunity to strengthen existing collaboration with governments in Africa and promote our CMS and create interest and engagement around our four-pillar model for using a democratic and not-for-profit open-source project to foster sustainable and independent business as outlined in the TYPO3 Association’s report on Open Source Standardization of Government Websites in Rwanda, currently also used in our ongoing project with the Government of Somalia.

The TYPO3 project will be represented by Daniel Homorodean and Alina Fleser, leader and member of the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee.
