Postponed Event: The organizers have made a strategic decision to postpone this event. TYPO3 and the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee are looking forward to announce our presence at the next opportunity.
The Transform Africa Summit describes itself as Africa’s leading annual forum for collaboration on new ways of shaping, accelerating and sustaining Africa’s ongoing digital revolution. The event caters to global and regional leaders from government, business and international organizations.
The summit is organized by Smart Africa, an alliance formed around the Smart Africa Manifesto, a commitment to provide leadership in accelerating socio-economic development through ICT. The manifesto has been endorsed by all heads of state and governments in the African Union.
For TYPO3, this event is a great opportunity to strengthen existing collaboration with governments in Africa and create interest and engagement around the TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee's work in the Global South. With knowledge transfer, using our democratic and not-for-profit open-source CMS as a basis, we can foster local sustainable and independent business. Our vehicle is projects with government websites and digital governance, as exemplified by our project for Open Source Standardization of Government Websites in Rwanda and recent project with the Government of Somalia.
TYPO3 will be present with our own booth, represented by TYPO3 Project Ambassador Mathias Bolt Lesniak, TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee Lead Daniel Homorodean, and TYPO3 Community Expansion Committee Member Philippe Fekete.
This non-TYPO3 event is an opportunity to meet TYPO3 representatives or active community members. Check the You Can Meet section below to see who.
