Compliance Officer
The Compliance Officer helps the TYPO3 Association turn its values and rules into clear, trustworthy, and sustainable practices.
The Compliance Officer supports the Association in maintaining fair and understandable governance processes, including conflict of interest, reporting, mediation, and Code of Conduct procedures. The role also monitors legal and regulatory developments, assesses their potential impact on TYPO3, and helps the Association prepare for changing requirements.
The Compliance Officer works to strengthen transparency, accountability, and trust without creating unnecessary bureaucracy or centralizing decision-making. The role also connects TYPO3 with wider discussions on digital regulation, open source governance, and responsible technology.

Data Protection Officer
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) helps the TYPO3 Association protect personal data and comply with data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The DPO advises the Association and its teams on how to handle personal data responsibly and supports them in meeting their legal obligations. The role also includes raising awareness of data protection and helping ensure that privacy is considered when new processes and services are developed.
The DPO is an independent contact for community members and Association representatives with questions or concerns about the use of their personal data. The DPO can also work with data protection authorities when required.

The Project Ambassador represents TYPO3, connects people and communities, and helps strengthen the project’s presence and impact in the wider open-source ecosystem.
The Project Ambassador supports community engagement, outreach, communication, and collaboration with other open-source projects and organizations. The role includes representing TYPO3 at conferences and other events, building relationships across communities, and sharing TYPO3’s perspective on open source and the web.
The Project Ambassador also helps connect the TYPO3 community with the wider world, identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth. By fostering exchange and making TYPO3 more visible beyond its existing community, the role supports the project’s long-term development and impact.

The Trademark Officer helps protect the TYPO3 name and brand while making it clear how the community can use them.
The Trademark Officer supports the TYPO3 Association in maintaining and enforcing its trademark rights and in keeping the rules for trademark use clear and accessible. The role includes responding to questions and requests for permission, addressing improper use, and helping ensure that the TYPO3 brand is used consistently and in ways that support the project and its community.
The Trademark Officer also works to balance protection with openness, enabling community members, organizations, and event organizers to promote TYPO3 within the framework of the trademark policy. This helps protect the identity and reputation of TYPO3 while supporting its use and growth across the community.
