TYPO3 is Open Source and Open Source depends very highly on contributions from the larger community, technically as well as financially. Therefore this page was setup to ease the process of donating to TYPO3 with the intention of encouraging more people to donate and help the project grow even further. So please read the below information and consider donating. Thanks so much.

We get asked all the time, what the best way of contributing financially to the TYPO3 project is. And the answer is quite simple. Although we do accept one-time donations through different means (see above) the most convenient and long-term solution to ensuring the future of TYPO3 is becoming a member of the TYPO3 Association. Association membership is the only way to enable the Association to do budget planning and ensure future development efficiently.

Also in countries where the concept of tax deductable donations doesn't exist TYPO3 Association membership is the easiest way of still deducting your donation expenses. The new membership scheme offers yearly membership statuses between 100 and 10.000 EUR, therefore giving companies of all sizes the possibility to donate regularly to the TYPO3 development. Why do we offer two different options for donating? For one simple reason:

The TYPO3 Association is a legal entity registered in Switzerland under Swiss law and regulations. Most countries of the world don't accept donations to a Swiss Association as tax deductable if they exheed a certain amount. Therefore a partnership with the FFIS e.V. in Germany was formed which will be able to provide donors with donation receipts legally tax deductable throughout Germany. Therefore if you are a German company or TYPO3 user, please donate through the FFIS e.V. if you require a donation receipt (please note that donations receipts are only given for donations of 200 EUR and above, since by German law you only require a donation receipt for donations exceeding this amount. Please download this document for information.

Note: If you would like your website adress to be linked to your name please enter it into the appropriate form field, when donating. For Paypal payments please write the URL into the comments field. You can also log in before submitting the donation form, in this case we will also link to your community profile page as soon as we have them in place.

Please note that we will check your website URL and refuse to link to pages, that contain questionable or inappropriate content. Out of fairness we also only link to your website if you donated at least 100 EUR
