Description

“The University of Coburg is supposed to be a place of creativity, inspiration and humanity." This principle shall also be illustrated by the new website visually and graphically.
Right at the first glance the visitor notices the individual design and by this gets an impression of the familiar and collaborative atmosphere at the university,
As main target groups prospective students, the scientific community and the general public are addressed.

With the relaunch the structure of the site has also been streamlined so that visitors find the desired information quickly. Flexibly configurable "Quicklinks" also help todive in quickly. For students and staff there is a private intranet.

During the technical implementation of the new website modern programming techniques such as Grunt, NodeJS and HTML5 were used. With the "mobile first" approach the new website can be used on different devices (smartphone, tablet, PC) perfectly. A tailor-made extension was created for a quick search of personal contacts , based on the address database "univis" of Coburg University. Videos can be embedded seamlessly and the Coburg University Television is cross-referenced comfortably.

About the company

Coburg University is a public university financed by Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts. As its English translation “University of Applied Sciences and Arts” suggests, a Hochschule is characterized by practice-related teaching and research as well as a strong practical bias. Its educational philosophy is designed to enable its students to apply their theoretical knowledge and methodological know-how to solving concrete problems in their professional careers. During their studies the students at Coburg University are systematically trained to develop those skills. To make sure that students never lose sight of the practical relevance of what they are learning, both full-time and part-time faculty are required to have gained ample experience in leading positions of business and administration.
