TYPO3 Usergroup Romania Meetup 2012

If the weather would have been better (it was snowing heavily that weekend) there would have been more attendants from other cities. There were a lot of people that expressed their desire to attend this event. This Usergroup Meetup is the largest TYPO3 developers gathering in Romania and a good preparation for T3CON13 East Europe, which the organisation would like to have in June in Cluj.   The schedule of the first day, Saturday December 8, was filled with technical presentations, very interesting subjects and excellent speakers. The topics ranged from trendy areas (like mobile apps through TYPO3, social networking integration, Instagram integration) to development methodologies (like Behaviour Driven Development) and tips & tricks for solving special challenges.
The day ended with an open talk about the future plans of the Romanian Usergroup and especially T3CON13 East Europe, to which the Romanian community adhered with enthousiasm. Then, through fresh deep snow, we headed to a nice pub, where we continued talking about TYPO3 and other subjects until late. On the second day, Sunday December 9, we had the first TYPO3 BugDay in Romania. It was hosted by Arxia and brought together a part of the usergroup (the ones who have signed the CLA :) ). The guys worked hard to solve as many bugs as possible and commit them. We plan to continue hosting BugDays It is a very good way to instill into the members of our Usergroup the feeling of belonging to the big TYPO3 Community, where each individual who wants to can play a role in developing TYPO3 further.
