A manual for the TYPO3 administrators

Categories: Community Created by François Suter
A guide to help TYPO3 web sites administrators has been a long-missing link in the official documentation. Now everyone can help fill this gap!
The TYPO3 Official Documentation contains a lot of very technical information about how TYPO3 is structured, its APIs, etc. There's however very little information about how to run a site on a daily basis, what kind of maintenance tasks should be regularly run and so on. The Documentation Team has now set its sight on closing this gap. Patrick Lobacher - well-known in the community for his many books and articles in the T3N magazine - has joined us and his first project is to create such manual. We have already some ideas about what could go into this new manual, but we think that feedback from the community would be invaluable in that case. So in order for this manual to be as complete and helpful as possible, we are calling on all community members to suggest ideas and - more importantly - to share with us their best practices in TYPO3 web sites administration. You may enter your contributions in the <link http: wiki.typo3.org index.php to the wiki>dedicated wiki page. Don't let your language skills refrain you from participating: all text will be rewritten eventually. Also don't forget your name so that you can get some credit for your contribution.
