TYPO3 at the Hackontest on September 24th-25th 2008

As you might have noticed, TYPO3 is one of the three opensource projects at the Hackontest in Winterthur/Switzerland from September 24th to 25th 2008. The two other projects are OpenLieroX, an realtime Worms clone game, and sK1, an opensource illustration program like CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator. Each project team consists of again three developers - for TYPO3 these are the Core Team Members Ingo Renner, Dmitry Dulepov and Oliver Hader. During the time-frame of 24 hours, starting at September 24th 2008 at 10:00, all teams have to implement several features that have been collected in advance on the Hackontest website.
After these 24 hours the jury rates the implemented new stuff by aspects of quality and functionality. It would be possible to implement as many features as possible, but that's not a criterion for the evaluation by the jury.

All finished and approved enhancements will finally go into the official current development branch for TYPO3 4.3. For this tasks we need you as developers and testers for the new features.

Please follow the TYPO3 Core List during that time actively. You can get in contact with Dmitry, Ingo and Olly via IRC on irc.freenode.net) for discussing things and submit your feedback in general. It is allowed to export tasks (e.g. like writing unit tests) to the community - thus, you all can be envolved in the Hackontest!

During the Hackontest we use an own branch in the SVN repository for committing our changes which also has to be used for testing. The assignment of tasks takes place in the TYPO3 wiki.

Ladies and gentlement, let's rock at the Hackontest!
