The few things you want to know about last month at the T3A.
8 - 10 October - T3CON Berlin Just like many other TYPO3 aficionados, most of the representatives of the TYPO3 Association were present at the vibrant <link http: t3con.eu home _blank to>T3CON14 in Berlin. The 10th international TYPO3 conference offered three interesting and intense days, which allowed us to meet again a great number of community members. A get together that sent us home with a great feeling and full of motivation for the upcoming months and year of the TYPO3 Association. At the last day of the conference the biggest brainstorming ever was organized. Each attendant could draw 3 of 26 topic cards, each corresponding to a group and to a certain TYPO3-related topic. We played 3 rounds of 20-minute brainstorming. After each round the groups moved on to the next desk and continued discussing the inputs given by the former group at that specific table. This resulted in one hour of brainstorming with 240 people - which lead to great inputs. 9 - 12 October - Internet Festival 2014 in Pisa The Italian TYPO3 community members invited us to participate to this year's Internet Festival in Pisa. This was a great opportunity to spread the TYPO3 word in the bel paese, and we warmly accepted the invitation. Naike Schulthess and Christian Müller flew directly from Berlin to Pisa in order to participate and to be able to introduce both the TYPO3 Association and the TYPO3 community. The participation has been supported by the presence of the Italian members of the community during the whole festival duration at the TYPO3 booth. A special thank you for the organization goes to Rino Razzi and to the Archicoop team. Alain Veuve, leader of the marketing team, enjoyed the company and the support of Olivier Dobberkau and of Naike Schulthess for this event. With a total of 13 participants and numerous creative ideas arising, we could collect constructive feedbacks from the Danish TYPO3 agencies. OTRS is used for many shared e-mail addresses (f.e. info@typo3.org) to distribute the request to the right contact person. We started a cleanup to reduce the amount of queues. Our aims are:
  • identity queues that can be shut down immediately because they are not used anymore
  • identify responsibilities. It will be then easier to contact the responsible person of a queue than is not being used
  • create a documentation for the tool implement and for controlling (check for abandoned queues).
The Board discussed a new event called "TYPO3 Dialogue 2015: share, inspire, work". The plan is to combine the General Assembly with this new event. We want to create an occasion in which many teams can meet at the same place and have a "interdisciplinary" team sprint. 30 October - TYPO3 Agency Meetup Day in Bern The TYPO3 Agency Meetup road trip brought us to Bern at the end of October. Alain Veuve and Naike Schulthess have met with 18 TYPO3 Agency representatives, who showed great motivation in "making things better" and provided us with numerous feedback on products, projects, and work of the TYPO3 Association.
