“We are very pleased to receive this award and are proud of the fact that our website was able to meet the high quality criteria of the jury and was judged to be user-friendly and creative,” said Dr. Nils Asmussen, Managing Director of Fit Reisen and the person responsible for the tourism company’s Internet presence. Together with around 400 guests, the finalists who had made it onto the shortlist in the nine categories eagerly awaited the jury's verdict. The awards were presented at a festive gala dinner, to which the Who-is-Who of the TYPO3 World had gathered at the Löwenbräukeller in Munich. The Bundesverband digitale Wirtschaft (BVDW) (Federal Association of the Digital Economy) is a cooperation partner of the 2016 TYPO3 Awards.

Expert jury judged the quality of the ideas and the user experience
The independent, six-member panel of experts who selected the winners is made up of four proven industry specialists and two experts from the TYPO3 Community. The BVDW’s Vice President Thorben Fasching is also on the TYPO3 Award jury. All jury members are renowned experts in the fields of web design, web development, user experience, mobile and social media. As part of the evaluation process, they awarded points for the design, performance and user-friendliness on different devices, including mobile, and different web browsers.
