The R&D Team organizes TYPO3 related research and development projects. Its main goal is to assert a consistent and long-term focussed development.

In detail its work consists of these major tasks:

• It supervises and coordinates the development of TYPO3 and FLOW3
• It takes the final decision on strategic or controversial questions raised in the core team
• It supports development projects by providing knowledge and contacts
• It supports and supervises the community-driven teams focused on research and development
• It gives council in respect to coding guidelines and the roadmap
