In addition to the basic logo rules here are a couple of other possibilities of using the logo-shape as a graphical element.
Stand-alone
The logo shape can be used without the TYPO3 name. Please adhere to the basic logo rules if you use this variation.
IMPORTANT:
The two parts of the shape must never be changed in any way – no rotation or other change to their relative position in any way. The elements must also always be used together. (see: Never treat the logo badly!)

Crop if you want
If needed fx. for splash-screens, etc. it is allowed to crop the shape. Please make sure that the cropped shape always includes the white area between the shape since this is the essential graphic part of th TYPO3 logo shape.
IMPORTANT:
THE CROPPED SHAPE MUST ALWAYS BE IN MONOCHROME
The two parts of the shape must never be changed in any way – no rotation or other change to their relative position in any way. The elements must also always be used together. (see: Never treat the logo badly!)
ATTENTION:Please do not use multiple overlaying versions in different sizes. Never change the rotation of the shapes!
Always use this coloring system when cropping:
Use only primary and additional colors for the logo when cropping.
If using any other color for the background than black or white then the logo must be in black or white.
You are free to crop the shape in your own way as long as you adhere to the described cropping rules.

A simple guideline
To assure that the logo is always presented in the best possible manner please have a look at the color combinations explained on the previous pages and make sure that larger areas of color do not conflict with the color of the shape.
It’s almost always better to use a monochrome version of the logo when it is close to a large green or orange color area. Oherwise see to it that the color area or bar is not too close to the logo.
(The business card samples are only examples of this coloring guideline and can be applied to all other applications)

The logo should generally be set to the upper left or right but can also be set to the left/right at the bottom of a document.
Right: All positions within the white areas are acceptable but the colored logo samples are prefered.
Please do not oversize the logo.
It’s generally suggested to use the logo in small sizes to keep it looking serious and noble on normal-sized applications.
!!! On banners and other huge stuff your free to use the logo huge, for sure !!!
