One good example of CRG work is css_imgtext by Ernesto that is already incuded into the CORE for 4.0! tHNx to Ernesto for his work.
JoH did a nice fancy corners extension: typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/fancycorners/1.1.1/
The Content Rendering Group has formulated the following goals:
- monitor markup output of TYPO3 to be standards compliant (http://www.webstandards.org) and XHTML1.0 strict compliant
- monitor preferred extensions (like RTE htmlarea, Modern FAQ, tt_news, chc_forum) for their output
- recommend extensions for accessibilty
- advise or cooperate with extension builders to get their output XHTML1.0 strict and standards compliant
- write documentation about how to get TYPO3 to output XHTML compliant code
- recommend TS
- finish css_imgtext ;-)
- deliver a default TS set for XHTML1.0 strict compliant output. For instance all target attributes within an anchor will have to be removed. No border attribute for images and such.
Zach will look into the output of his forum extension and Rupert also feels dedicated to having the output of tt_news XHTML compliant. Rupert is a member of the CORE group so that gives us a strong ally here ;-) Jan has done some stuff for accessibility and we will keep you informed on any stuff related to that on
For starters I would want to offer you the benefits of getting your output XHTML compliant. The New York Public Library has an excellent styleguide and a specific part on XHTML benefits:
