One good example of CRG work is css_imgtext by Ernesto that is already incuded into the CORE for 4.0! Lately (2009) Ernesto has created the single image without the tagsoup for TYPO3 4.3. Susanne split the different css styled content parts according to their version, so only the appropriate part of css_styled_content is loaded. JoH did a nice fancy corners extension: typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/fancycorners/ and Sacha was the originator of the cleaned up output of TYPO3.
TYPO3 CRG goals
The Content Rendering Group has formulated the following goals:
- monitor markup output of TYPO3 to be standards compliant (http://www.webstandards.org) and XHTML1.0 strict compliant
- monitor A-class extensions (like RTE htmlarea and tt_news) for their output
- recommend extensions for accessibilty
- advise or cooperate with extension builders to get their output XHTML1.0 strict and standards compliant
- write documentation about how to get TYPO3 to output XHTML compliant code
- recommend TS
- deliver a default TS set for XHTML1.0 strict compliant output. For instance all target attributes within an anchor will have to be removed. No border attribute for images and such.
