Although a project like the development of TYPO3 5.0 is really a bunch full of work, it's not always easy to portion it into little easy-to-digest chunks. What we need most are developers who have the guts to aim for a long-term involvement, have their own ideas, think in a larger scope, write beautiful PHP and drink good coffee. If you happen to be of such a species, then start playing with the current codebase and present us your ideas.
For those who don't plan to quit their job for becoming an unpaid 5.0 fulltime developer, we have prepared a list of jobs we need help with. These tasks are typically of that kind you could solve on a few free evenings when your partner goes to the cinema, a party or a dinner.
If you run a company, you might consider giving one of your employees the chance to help us out. By that you make sure that the 5.0 core developers can focus on their own job - developing TYPO3.

So here's a list of task we currently need the most help with. To avoid confusion (and there has been some) please note that these are not paid jobs, we don't seek for employees for TYPO3 Inc. (which doesn't exist of course ..) - it's just gracious voluntary work we ask for - and our gratitude and charme is all we can offer in return (exceptions apply).
