Sponsored Projects
Starting with TYPO3 4.3, it is possible for companies to participate more actively in the development of TYPO3 v4 by sponsoring specific projects.
The main goals are:
- gather ideas from the community about features that should get into TYPO3
- get interested people involved into TYPO3 projects
- collect sponsoring from companies for specific projects
This should make it possible to get more projects running and support developers (especially Core Team members) who want to contribute to development of TYPO3.
In order to ensure the quality of such projects a set of rules and guidelines have been established. These rules describe in particular the approval process through which a project proposal must go and what criteria it must fill in order to be able to apply for sponsoring.
Please consult the list of projects open for sponsoring and find the ones you want to support.
Being informed, getting in touch
On top of the pages here on typo3.org, a dedicated mailing list was created for all things related to sponsored projects. The list is called typo3.sponsoring and it is hosted on lists.netfielders.de.
If you want to sponsor a project or if you want to make a proposal for a sponsored project, just take contact with François Suter, the Sponsorship Manager for TYPO3 v4.
