Sponsoring Robert's Podcasts
Like those of Kasper, my podcasts are equally financed by my private bank account. I started creating them because I saw a need in depicting new technologies and concepts behind TYPO3 5.0 and FLOW3 - a quite important part with a big influence on the adoption of these new topics and ultimately on the success of future TYPO3 versions. Before I started working as a full-time TYPO3 developer, my profession was that of a "Digital Media Designer". So, reviving my old practice to record and edit video footage is of course a lot of fun, too!
However, as much fun as it is to create a podcast, it is quite time-consuming and requires costy equipment if you want to do it right (and yeah, we want to do it right!). So if you want to enable Kasper and me to keep on producing podcasts, please consider sponsoring us (see Kasper's page for his view on the topic).
Sponsoring an episode means you will get a 5 second commercial in the beginning of the podcast. By default this will be a still image (fx. company logo and URL) and me saying "Thanks to X for supporting Robert's Podcasts". If you wish you can create your own animation sequence instead.
The price for sponsoring an episode is 400€.
The sponsorship will cover a mix of the time spend on editing them plus the hardware and software investments necessary over time to keep and improve the quality. However, even with all episodes sponsored it will not cover the true production costs which is not the goal either. I only want to create some foundation to justify continous production.
